Submission Guidelines
Submissions are welcome all year for the Spring and Winter 2009 issues. If accepted, they will appear in the next issue. Authors and artists retain rights.
- Blind Review Process: Our readers and editors will independently review your work for submission.
- Submission Requirements:
a. You are encouraged to submit three or more poems, short stories, or digital images of your art work or photography.
b. You may submit only if the work is not in submission elsewhere.
c. Once accepted, we reserve the right to publish your work in any of the next issues of WFLAR. Authors and artists will receive payment per poem, per page in each prose piece or essay, per photograph and per photograph of your art work. - Notification Timelines:
You will be notified within a week or two of the time we receive your submission. It will require at least an additional 30 days to notify you as to whether your submission has been accepted, accepted subject to revisions, or not accepted.
If we seem slow in responding, consider it a part of our charm. The WFLAR is a community service and its staff have full time jobs; volunteers are always welcome.
